Kala Sangam has reached audiences far and wide with a varied array of visual art, music, dance and literature-based work, showcasing artists from a variety of backgrounds.

Since the inception of Kala Sangam we have prided ourself on the quality and excellence of these events, which have ranged from classical Indian dance performances for the Queen's Golden jubilee to new jazz music with the BBC Philharmonic. We have hosted events at a variety of venues, ranging from The Tate Modern to rural village halls, and from international festivals to local community melas. 

Box Office Programming & Touring

Kala Sangam operates locally, regionally, nationally and also internationally, working with artists and art forms from both south Asian traditions and inter-disciplinary backgrounds. We have toured in the UK and globally, with performers including members of the BBC Philharmonic and Grammy award winning artists, as well as with up-and-coming local and regional performers

Community Programming

Kala Sangam also organises performances across the region, where regional and national artists perform at events ranging from corporate launches and celebrations to weddings and private functions.

Festivals/Melas

Kala Sangam has hosted performances at festivals across the country. Local festivals and melas range from the Bradford, Huddersfield and Leeds melas to regional festivals like the Ilkley Festival and Hull Jazz Festival. We have also performed at the world-famous WOMAD festival and the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddifod.
