Youth arts News

The youth offenders showed great levels of concentration during, graffiti artists, Nick Halahan’s sessions with the resulting work paying testament to this. Nick works uses old vinyls as canvases – a great example of recycling resources and what’s more is they look great!

The young people were also then taken on an excursion to West Yorkshire Print Workshop which provided an opportunity to see some of the manual work behind the art on the walls and also have a go themselves.

The month also included fast becoming favourite Sameer Butt who returned with his usual serving of a vibrant blend of western and south Asian music and dance.

There was also a visit to Waxworks Music Studios and workshops by Urban Dancer, Lloyd Thompson.
