This film of a journey into South Pakistan will be premiered at Himalaya Film Festival, London in February 2010.

A tale of homecoming and belonging, Kashf opens with Armaghan’s return to his native Pakistan after 25 years. He is searching for the Sufi holy man who blessed his mother before he was born, thereby committing her son to the spiritual path. Armaghan’s hometown Lahore is unfamiliar to him now, and its streets are thick with mysteries, both spiritual and material. Meanwhile his cousin Ali longs to pursue a different path, dreaming of success on Lollywood. Can either of them succeed in reaching their elusive goals?

The film will be accompanied by a special talk about Lollywood and current independent cinema from Pakistan by Leeds International Film Festival Director Chris Fell.
